A little piece of Granada

Feliz año Nuevo 2016!

Last Christmas in the Spanish Andalusian city Granada was one of those rare occasions where we could celebrate together as a large family. However, for me most of my time there was spent working which really limited family time to a few days and getting out on the streets of the city to grab some images to only an evening and a few hours in the day.

The following images I did eventually manage to capture I hope will give a small insight into what is a beautiful city nestled at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Happy New Year & Good Health to you.

All the night images were taken hand held using the Fujifilm X100S.

  1. Very nice series. I particularly like the color taken at night. I believe the one that appeals to me the most is the chef preparing meals. It is very focused. The other one would be looking up the street. Again, focused but in a linear way.

  2. That is a sensational collection. I really like the street of the hanging carpets, for me there is a sense of mystery about it, only two figures as if waiting for something to start or burst onto the scene. The B&W images of the old woman and the less than smiling balloon seller are also superb.

  3. Love this collection of shots. Pretty awesome that you’re able to get clear hand-held shots at long exposures at night. You must breathe out before taking those shots…? 🙂
